KARACABEY WPP
Contributes to sustainable development with the production of 101.9 GWh of clean energy per year.

Karacabey Wind Power Plant consists of 12 wind turbines each with a 2.5 MW capacity making the the total capacity of 33 MWm. Located in Bursa-Turkey, the project produces 101,900 MWh per year to the Turkish national grid. The electricity produced by project activity results in an emission reduction of 56.264 tCO2e per year. In addition to the CO2e, the project will reduce SOx and NOx emissions which arise from electricity generation from mainly coal power plants.

Under the scope of SDG4, a training was given to Karacabey Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School Students.

The thematic coverage of the training included the following items:
• Working principles of turbines,
• Electricity generation,
• Explanatory information about cubicles, panels and kiosks and modular cells
